Counterbell is in early access. Right now the only thing that handles your data is the demo on the home page. This page explains, in plain English, what happens to what you type into it.

The messages you paste into the demo

Please don't paste sensitive personal data. Leave out phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, health details, payment details and anything else you wouldn't want to share. The sample café messages are there so you can try it without using real ones.

Anthropic

The analysis and replies are made by Claude, an AI model from Anthropic, using its commercial API. Anthropic handles that data under its Commercial Terms and Privacy Policy, which do not allow it to train its models on content sent through the API.

Usage limits

To keep the demo free and stop it being misused, each visitor gets 3 analyses and 10 drafted replies a day. To count them, we store a one-way hash of your IP address with a request counter. It contains nothing you typed, and it is deleted automatically within 48 hours.

If you email us

If you email hello@counterbell.ie for early access, we keep your email address and message so we can reply and let you know when Counterbell opens. Ask us to delete them any time.

Your rights and contact

You have rights under the GDPR, including to ask what we hold about you and to have it deleted. Because the demo doesn't store your messages, there is usually nothing to delete. For any privacy question, email hello@counterbell.ie. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission.

Counterbell is run by Rhys Foley in Dublin, Ireland.
